Gerard Groener started out as the Managing Director of the Dutch unit of Corio N.V., a leading retail property company with developments and operations across Europe and Turkey. During his tenure as the company’s CEO, he led Ingka Centre, the shopping centre branch of IKEA, with operations across the globe. In 2021, Gerard left IKEA and started his own consultancy and is active on several non-executive boards.
